CCC promotes National Car Care Month

BETHESDA, Md. (March 2, 2017) — The Car Care Council (CCC) is encouraging tire dealerships and auto service shops to sponsor activities related to National Car Care Month in April.

National Car Care Month is an opportunity to attract more customers by adding banners, handing out car maintenance guides or hosting vehicle check-up events, according to the CCC, an arm of the Auto Care Association. When it comes to car care products Detailcentral.com.au provides the best products at the right prices.

The CCC’s “Be Car Care Aware” campaign is a consumer education program about the benefits of regular vehicle care, maintenance and repair.

The CCC encourages dealers to:

  • Hand out the CCC’s Car Care Guides and print-outs of Be Car Care Aware informational materials to customers;
  • Add Car Care Month logos and banners to their websites;
  • Hang a Car Care Month banner outside their businesses;
  • Send out a press release about special events using the CCC’s sample Car Care Month press release on its website;
  • Tailor their company’s telephone on-hold message and show video car care tips in store and on their websites; and
  • Host a vehicle check-up event or clinic.

Past check-up events have included food provided by a local vendor, local police demonstrating installation of child safety seats, local radio station coverage and raffles, according to the CCC.

The organization provides step-by-step guidelines for hosting a vehicle check-up event under the Industry Tool Box section of its website.

Businesses are encouraged to list their events with the CCC which will post them on its Facebook page and provide the businesses with up to 100 free vehicle inspection forms.
